Potential Time Dedication:
Pre-Event: 2-3 hours weekly. Meetings are bi-weekly leading up to September, then weekly leading to the event. Members are expected to actively engage in TIDE chats, meetings, events, projects, and discussions throughout the year. Active engagement means having gone no more than 30 days without participation in any discussions through official communication channels including (Teams, Org emails, FB Messenger, Discord, etc.)
During-Event: 8-24 hours. At least one four-hour on-site shift and attendance at one TIDE event, or
A minimum of eight hours total of on-site TIDE shifts. Each member must contribute to at least one TIDE project connected to an FAI event—either by participating in planning and coordination prior to the October event (Alchemy) or by facilitating on-site during the October event (Alchemy), unless otherwise agreed upon with the TIDE Committee Chair(s).
If for any reason the time commitment is a barrier to participation, the TIDE Committee Chairs will work with committee members to accommodate their participation as needed.
